Internet marketing

Internet marketing is vastly different from other forms of advertising and marketing. For one, the media is different. With traditional published hard copy advertising the customer views the advert without input from themselves - this can be a billboard or a leaflet delivered to the home. With Television and Radio the customer has no choice other than to switch off. When it comes to Internet Marketing material it is far more common for the customer to know EXACTLY what they are looking for and, by use of the search engines, they will search out the material they wish to view.

Obviously there are forms of Internet Maarketing similar to older media such as banner advertising and pop-ups but success from such methods is wide and varied. Email marketing can be extremely effective is it is carefully planned and executed. In most cases email marketing is viewed as unwanted spam. To avoid this a careful approach must be taken, careful analysis of your market and target audience is required and use of specialized agencies such as Cairo who offer smaller but highly specific audiences for your email publication. In most cases it is far better to send a small number of emails to a willing customer base than a large number of emails to a broader recipient list.

Sadly it is still very common to see traders new to the Internet assume that increased expenditure on a web site will lead to better results.
